Louis DE FUNES was a true comic. But he had to wait a long time to become famous. Daniel Gélin discovered him as a pianist. He advised him to become an actor and led him to the world of cinema. There he first had small parts until in 1956 in « LA TRAVERSEE DE PARIS » with Gabin and Bourvil was the beginning of his career with numerous well known films. A portrait of this shy man shows us through archives, most of them family archives, the sensitive and simple man he was.
